The MISSion.31 movement began in spring of 2013, when Brittney Webster, a recent college graduate, decided to explore one of her passions, mentoring the youth. She called on one of her childhood friends, Marchelle Miles, who encouraged her to actively pursue this new idea. Within a matter of weeks, Miss Webster teamed up with her good friend and old college roommate, Erikka Simpson, and on June 21, 2013, the organization now known as MISSion.31 was born. Webster chose the name based on one of her favorite passages of scripture, Proverbs 31, which gives a detailed description of what characteristics a well rounded woman should exemplify!
Over the next several weeks, Webster and Simpson worked diligently and swiftly to establish their new organization. They prayed for God's blessings and then watched in amazement as everything began to come together. By the beginning of July they had a full team of eager friends who were ready and willing to help build the MISSion.31 brand. Over the course of one summer, these ladies laid the foundation for MISSion.31, a platform they will use to change the world, one girl at a time!
