Director of Finance

Location: Remote                          

Position Summary: Reporting to the Treasurer of the Board, the core function of this position is to lead all internal day-to-day financial operations of corporation. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise the maintenance of proper books of accounts, consisting of a balance sheet and related statements of income and expenses and of changes in all funds for the fiscal year then ended. 
  • Under the direction of the board of directors, shall have general charge of the corporation’s financial affairs, including supervising the signing of all checks, payment of accounts, and collection of debts. 
  • Process funding requests. 
  • Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow for administration, existing programs, and proposed new sites. 
  • Coordinate all audit activities on the corporate level. 
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned to her from time to time. 

Qualifications: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Management, or other related field. 
  • Experience in financial management and accounting, ideally in the nonprofit sector. 
  • Experience should include legal, audit, compliance, budget, and resource development.

Director of Programs and Community Engagement

Location: Remote

Position Summary: Reporting to the COO, the core function of this position is to lead Mission 31’s programming nationwide. She will have overall strategic responsibility for developing Mission 31’s signature programs. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Provide inspiring leadership and management to ensure the effective, quality and timely delivery of all of Mission 31’s programs. 
  • Oversee Project S.E.R.V.E. community outreach initiative. 
  • Develop robust management systems and tools to enhance efficiencies and accountability throughout the program structure. 
  • Develop new initiatives to support the strategic direction of the organization. 
  • Lead the development of a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement. 
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned to her from time to time. 

Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrate success developing and evaluating program models, and selecting and successfully operationalizing innovative programs. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details. 
  • Strong project management skills managing complex, multifaceted projects resulting in measurable successes and program growth.

Midwest Regional Manager - Michigan

Location: Michigan

Position Summary: Reporting to the C-Suite, the core function of this position is to provide leadership and guidance within the region to assure that organizational standards and policies are maintained and followed. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as liaison between local divisions and C-Suite. 
  • Quarterly in person meetings with local division leaders. 
  • Conduct annual regional performance plans and reviews. 
  • Conduct performance counseling as needs arise, and serve as judiciary counsel for disputes among divisions and members. 
  • Understand and communicate organizational and regional policies and expectations to region. 
  • Serve as an active participant in national and regional meetings. 
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned to her from time to time.

Local Division President - Detroit

Location: Detroit, MI

 

Position Summary: Reporting to the Regional Manager, the core function of this position is to lead the Detroit division of Mission 31. She will have overall strategic responsibility for local division’s mentors, mentees, volunteers, programs, expansion, and execution of its mission. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Schedule, organize, and oversee all meetings of the Division. 
  • Conduct mentor and volunteer interviews. 
  • Communicate with parents, mentors/volunteers, and mentees. 
  • Conduct monthly mentor/mentee evaluations. 
  • Maintain mentee progress files. 
  •  Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Regional Manager.

Position Summary: Reporting to the Division President, the core function of this position is to assist in the day to day operation of the division, focusing more specifically on program development and execution.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Plan programs according to the Official Program Guide. 
  • Evaluate program effectiveness 
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Division President.
